I Wish to Meet... the Creators of "EverQuest"

Online game playing is a fascination often lost on grown-ups. To 15-year-old Patrick, however, online games were what his wish was made of!

To make his wish come true, Patrick flew to San Diego to visit Sony Online Studios and meet the creators of the online game, EverQuest. When he arrived , Patrick was given the royal treatment by Sony Online personnel, who were ecstatic that a boy would wish to tour their studios. Patrick, who is undergoing treatment for a form of Muscular Dystrophy, was given a peek at the newest and most cutting-edge changes to the online game, which included a "dragon raid."

In addition to seeing the latest version of EverQuest, Patrick got a tour of the Sony Online facilities in his daylong visit to the company.

We later learned that Sony employees throughout the facility were touched by Patrick's curiosity for Everquest and his positive attitude. Motivated by his visit, employees took up a collection and made a generous contribution to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
